sirdanpaul is the music project of Honolulu-based artist Dan Paul Roberts. Over a decade ago in New York, he released full-length albums under the name Dan Paul. Years later, on the open mic stage at Hula's in Waikiki, host GJ started introducing him as "Sir Dan Paul," and the name stuck. SHAPESHIFTER is the first album under that name, a new chapter featuring vocals from Nemina Moon. A number of its songs were written in shared sessions with poet and dancer Sarah Overvoll. Texas-based remixer Jeremy Dean Henry (Haus of Glitch) collaborated long-distance, trading tracks across the miles Postal Service-style, including his remix of "Yellow Lights (All I Knew)," the final track on SHAPESHIFTER, with more on the way.
